Abstract: Getting the aircraft cabins lighter is important with the fuel consumption issue. Instead of wiring all the seats in order to bring multimedia data to each passenger, this projects aims at designing and implementing a free space communication, FSOC, system capable of achieving data transmission with higher speed, no electromagnetic interferences with the cockpit's signals and an much lighter system than that currently installed.
