dc.description.abstract | This project Performance Testing of Vapor Compression Cycle of Air Conditioner System involves the construction and performance testing of Vapor Compression Cycle in the research project solar in off-grid applications and the main objective of the research project is to develop a systematic methodology for design and operation of solar energy assisted ejector-vapor compression air conditioning systems. The system structure consists of two refrigeration cycles: an electricity driven vapor-compression cycle and a recycled compressor waste heat and/or solar energy driven ejector cycle. The ejector refrigeration cycle is used to reduce the sub-cool temperature of the vaporcompression refrigeration cycle, increasing the Coefficient of Performance (COP) of the overall system and to reduce 30% running cost of the air-conditioning system. The technology of recovering and using the waste heat from the compressor has been developed for a long time. The system is designed such that the heat from the compressor is utilized to preheat the refrigerant of the ejector cycle. This system can be used for industrial and commercial buildings. | en_US |
