dc.description.abstractThe focus of this project is on two important areas in image processing: the lossless compression of binary and grey scale images, and the digital watermarking of grey scale images. Compression of images is required to reduce the storage requirements and transmission time. Digital image watermarking allows the identification of the owner and intended recipients of the images through the decoding of embedded copyrights information.en_US
