Abstract: This dissertation presents different ways to analysis chirp signals which are in heavy noise effectively, such as short-time Fourier transform (STFT), local polynomial Fourier transform (LPFT), and the bilinear Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD). The chirp signal also is called Linear Frequency-Modulated signal (LFM). There exist many real signals of chirp alike in the natural world to be analyzed. It has been applied widely in many fields of information system, such as communications, radar, sonar, earthquake recognition etc. So the high resolution of chirp signal analysis is required.
