Abstract: This thesis mainly deals with GPS-based attitude determination technique. The attitude determination process is carried out mainly in two stages. The first stage determines the correct double difference carrier phase ambiguities for the baseline vectors. The LAMBDA method is applied to solve the integer ambiguities. LAMBDA stands for Least Squares AMBiguity Decorrelation Adjustment. The LAMBDA method employs the least squares estimator to estimate integer ambiguities, using float ambiguities and corresponding variance-covariance matrix as input. It has been found that the ambiguities resolution can be carried out very fast and efficiently by means of the LAMBDA method.
