Efficient techniques for face and eye detection.

Inspired by meaningful applications such as human computer interaction (HCI) based on gaze direction and the prevention of road accidents caused by drivers' drowsiness by monitoring their eyes dynamics, we propose in this thesis several methodologies for the progressive segmentation of the face and eyes from static images to aid the acquisition phase of these applications.
