Abstract: Watermarking techniques have generated enormous interest in recent years for their application in the field of copyright protection, authentication of digital multimedia data and digital images. Very little work has been done in copyright protection of digital binary images when compared to copyright protection of gray scale images. Curvature Weighted Distance Difference is one of the binary watermarking techniques. Curvature weighted distance difference or in short CWDD is a simple technique which traces the contour of the binary image before and after flipping of pixels. The difference in contours is calculated using the curvature difference of the flipped pixels and the increase or decrease in the Euclidean distance.
