Title: | Performance analysis of ultra-wideband transmitted reference system for radio frequency identification application | Authors: | Kang, Beng Hui. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Antennas, wave guides, microwaves, radar, radio | Issue Date: | 2011 | Abstract: | A promising ultra-wideband radio technology being widely considered for low data rate applications is the transmitted reference ultra-wideband scheme. One of its important applications is the area of radio frequency identification that requires low cost, low power consumption and low complexity radio frequency tags for its operation. However, although the standard transmitted reference scheme produces low complexity receiver structure, it is not energy efficient, as the transmitter has to emit two pulses to represent one bit value. Besides, the error performance of transmitted reference receiver is not as good as a full rake receiver. | Description: | 78 p. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/46891 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
