Title: | Distributed feedback fiber laser | Authors: | Liu, Shuang. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Optics, optoelectronics, photonics | Issue Date: | 2011 | Abstract: | Multiple wavelengths, distributed feedback (DFB) fiber lasers are attractive for a range of applications in optical communications, including soliton and microwave generation. In conventional DFB fiber lasers, it is realized by comprising a UV-induced Bragg grating fabricated in a rare-earth-doped fiber. Comparing with solid and gas lasers, the DFB fiber lasers exhibit many advantages, such as narrow linewidth, tunability and compatibility with optical fiber systems. | Description: | 98 p. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/46905 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Research Centres: | Network Technology Research Centre | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
