Abstract: This thesis describes the analysis, design and integrated circuit (IC) implementation of an audio CMOS Class D power amplifier for micropower low-voltage applications including hearing aids. The Class D amplifier comprises a Pulse Width Modulator (PWM circuit) and an output stage. The overall emphases of this Class D amplifier design are micropower, low-voltage, low fabrication cost (in terms of post-fabrication trimming or calibrations) and small IC area realisation.
