dc.description.abstract | This dissertation presents a decentralized control system for MIMO Processes with integrators. In such processes, one controlling output may be affected by more than one integrating input, as usual, in case of multi-loop control, the input/output pairing is very important. A loop pairing method based on Relative Normalized Gain Array (RNGA) introduced by Cai [1] is presented for controlling structure configuration. Compared with its counterparts such as RGA [2], this novel loop pairing technique considers not only the steady-state information but also the transient information of the process. It also provides a comprehensive description of dynamic interactions among individual loops without requiring specification of the controller type with a relatively low computational load. | en_US |
