Title: Design of a content-based image retrieval system for medical application
Authors: Yue, Zheng.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering
Issue Date: 2011
Abstract: Retrieving images from a large collection of a variety of general images is a challenging problem. Currently, most image databases are indexed by keywords, and are accessed from text-based database systems. However, text-based image retrieval is unable to meet the growing demand for large-scale image capture and archiving, despite its efficiency. Content-based image retrieval (CBIR)—indexing and retrieving images in a database based on their content—has become an attractive approach to managing large image archives.
