Abstract: In the digital age data transfer between the Host and Client has taken leaps of improvement over the years. Starting from parallel port to the present day Universal Serial Bus (USB), Firewire and Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) bus, the speed of data transfer has increased tremendously thus benefiting the client to very large extent. Among them the most widely used is the USB which is designed to communicate 127 clients. USB works on a specific protocol structure to transfer data from the host to the client. As it is quite complicated, it is essential to develop a protocol analyzer circuit which can help the designer and firmware to closely monitor and analyze the data thus enhancing the design and testing efficiency of USB.
