Abstract: This Ph.D research program pertains to investigations into the non-linearities and power-efficiency of a class of analog amplifiers - the high power-efficiency analog Class D (switching) amplifiers. The specific amplifiers include the prevalent Pulse-Width-Modulation (PWM) Class D amplifier, the somewhat esoteric Bang-Bang control Class D amplifier, and the more recent filterless Class D amplifier.
