Issue Date: 2010
Abstract: This dissertation describes the analysis and design of a new algorithm to simplify the arithmetic computation of a digital Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) in the digital Class D amplifier. A digital Class D amplifier consists of a digital PWM, an output stage and a low pass filter. This dissertation focuses on the sampling process stage of the digital PWM, which takes in digital input data and output the pulse-width of the PWM signal.
