Abstract: The refrigeration process has various applications both in domestic and industrial level and hence plays an important role in maintaining sustainable development. Due to the extensive consumption of the power resources through refrigeration process, has resulted in serious effect even in global warning. Hence optimization and effective utilization of the power resources are mandatory. This thesis explains the optimization technologies applied for heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The objective of reduced power consumption was achieved through a HVAC plant model that was set up at Process Instrumentation Laboratory.
