Abstract: The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the performance of an end-to-end connection across multiple virtual local area networks and to formulate a path finding mechanism for setting up inter-VLAN LSP over a MPLS backbone with effective traffic balancing. A hierarchical MPLS architecture is proposed to secure inter-VLAN routing.
