Title: | Fairness and the political economy of economic growth | Authors: | Leong, Chee Kian | Keywords: | DRNTU::Social sciences::Economic development | Issue Date: | 2009 | Source: | Leong, C. K. (2009). Fairness and the political economy of economic growth. Doctoral thesis, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. | Abstract: | Fairness has emerged as a major issue in the political economy of economic growth but the lack of a unified formal framework of fairness has impeded analysis in the past. This thesis formalizes a concept of fairness which is then applied to a neoclassical eco-nomic growth model, so as to analyze issues of fairness in economic growth. This concept of fairness is analytically and computationally simple to derive in dynamic games and en-dogenous in the sense that it results from the interactions between heterogeneous agents. | Description: | 122 p. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/47072 | DOI: | 10.32657/10356/47072 | Schools: | School of Humanities and Social Sciences | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | open | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
