Abstract: There are numerous causes of hearing loss. One of the more severe types belongs to Sensorineural (SNHL) classification which could be remedied by a cochlear implantation. However, there was relatively high occurrence of implant device failures or related complications in cochlear implantation surgery, resulting in subsequent explantation and reimplantation. This dissertation henceforth, seeks to introduce a methodology, and in turn design and develop a system to reduce the number of related surgical complications, device failures and thereby, reduce the extraneous, preventable traumatic experience to cochlear implant patients.
