Infrastructures based on the current demographic trend, future cities will provide residence for almost 70% of total global population in a few decades. However, we stand at a crossroad, that cities must change radically to achieve long-term sustainability and survivability. Shortage of energy, food and water resources, inadequate public transportation systems and other basic infrastructures, will constrain the potentials and diminish the quality of life in future cities.
