The author has presented a model to compare the cost effectiveness of two cardiac alternatives procedures, Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) and Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG). A study was also done to determine the effect of PTCA six weeks after the procedure in the Quality of Life (QOL) in patients affected with coronary artery disease. There is an uncertainty about the relative efficacies and the costs of coronary surgery and angioplasty which are used in the treatment of multi-vessel coronary artery disease.en_US
