Abstract: The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate how scientific molding techniques can be used to simulate processing conditions during plastic part and mold design. Such techniques can be used by the designers to change the plastic part and mold features to ensure robust processing conditions during part manufacture. This, in turn, ensures consistent, high quality part despite despite variations in molding machine.
