Abstract: Structural engineering analysis tools are important for the understanding of the biomechanical behaviour of the cornea. The cornea is modelled as a spherical shell and was used as a basis to measure the effect of intraocular pressure on the cornea. In this study, finite element modelling and analysis were used to determine the biomechanical behaviour of the cornea in certain diseased conditions.
