Abstract: In the highly competitive engines industry, aftermarket parts support has become an important source of market advantage. The manufacturer traditionally put most of its investment and development efforts into its production. Now, parts business represents one of the faster growing, most profitable segments of the company. In the last several years, the company has installed its first regional Distribution Centre in Singapore to take advantage of growing Asian markets, supported by its Master Distribution Centre in Manchester, United Kingdom. It plans to continue reviewing its network as part of its global logistics plans.
