Authors: Ei Mon Soe
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Bioengineering
Issue Date: 2010
Abstract: This study mainly focuses on a novel simulator to train next generation interventional doctors for a cardiac navigation system being developed by medical device company, Johnson and Johnson. This device has unique features such as nonfluroscopic, minimally invasive, 3-D electromechanical mapping and real time catheterization. The device called NOGA has an ability to identify regional and global myocardium viability in cardiac disorders. NOGA®XP acts as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool by direct administration of regenerative therapies like cells and genes to the heart.
