Abstract: China has been the fastest growing major nation for the past quarter of the century; with an average annual GDP growth rate of 10% (www.usatoday.com, 2007). With population of approximately 1.33 billion, land area of 9.6m sq km - comparable to that of the U.S - , and rapid urbanization, China has become an emerging economic giant. Global companies today are moving their manufacturing to China, as China continues to increase manufacturing prowess, provide significant costs advantages, and delivers good and repetitive quality (Pinto).
