Abstract: With the recent financial crisis, the group has seen many countries being hit hard, struggling to pick up the pieces of their economy and moving forward. South Korea has been one of the first countries to rebound and show signs of economic recovery, largely in part due to the government's increased expenditure and upwards trend of exports to China. However, there has also been signs of financial de-leveraging by foreign investors due to the recent financial crisis on a global level and Korea has been affected by the reduction in foreign investment in Korea (a reportedly in excess of USD50 billion). The on-going recovery process may present a good opportunity for foreign entrants into the financial markets.
