dc.description.abstract | The paper studies the issue of economies of scale of the township and village enterprises in China. Through empirical assessment of the industrial structure of the township and village enterprises in Jiangsu province, we found that the development of township and village enterprises in Jiangsu province have been dramatically constrained by the limited economies of scale. By applying the Cobb—Douglas production function model and thus the derived total factor productivity, the impact of limited economies of scale on productivity is clearly verified. Based on the empirical study, the essay proposed some policies of improving the economies of scale in China's township and village enterprises. | en_US |
