FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays) have become an attractive solution to meet the technological and market uncertainties in embedded processing. The advent of reconfigurable systems that incorporates microprocessor and FPGA on the same platform necessitates efficient hardware-software partitioning strategies in emerging design flows. However, commercially available design flows do not enable designers to make design explorations for effective hardware-software partitioning.
