Asymmetric synthesis of phosphines via chiral cyclopalladium(II) complexes promoted reactions.

In this thesis, a systematic review of chiral phosphines and hydrophosphination reactions are described in Chapter 1. This chapter reviews the significance of chiral phosphines and their classification: chiral phosphines with Pchiral center(s), with chiral center(s) in the side-chain or axial chirality in the sidechain and chiral phosphines based on ferrocene. Their synthetic strategies are also discussed. In addition, acid catalyzed-, base catalyzed-, free radical mediated-, transition metal catalyzed-, transition metal complex promoted- and organocatalytic-hydrophosphination reactions are demonstrated.
