dc.description.abstractContrast agents with high relaxivity are needed for increasing the sensitivity of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for novel clinical and research applications. Therefore, we are developing a new class of oligomer-based contrast agents by incorporating multiple-gadolinium complexes into peptides of controlled length and structure. This allows synthesis of a library of Gd-peptides with different sequences, peptide length and number of Gd-chelates. Screening this library will enable selection of oligomers with desired properties.en_US
