dc.description.abstractThis study is a historical investigation into the sciences and an exploration of whether Thomas Kuhn's Structure of Scientific Revolutions (SSR) fits independently grounded theories developed from study of known scientific shifts. The primary objectives of this work were to identify any relationships between independently grounded theories and the SSR and it was also contemplated whether the SSR was adequate to account for events that led to scientific paradigm shifts.en_US
