Abstract: In this dissertation, bibliometrics, a research method used in library and information science using quantitative analysis and statistics to describe patterns of publication, was used in tandem with social network analyses to study Edward A. Fox's publications and his social network with his co-authors. His publications as at December 2008 comprised of 328 items of various types, namely, 16 books, 3 recordable compact disc recordable (CDR), 45 book chapters, 78 journal articles, 28 magazine and 158 conference papers.
