Abstract: Information is the fundamental element a tourist pursues in order to satisfy their touring purpose satisfactorily. Tourists look for a wide range of information during their tour phase. Tourists start the information search the moment they start their touring or even before they start. Despite the technological advancement and the existence of various information channels, many tourists are still facing problems to get the information what they need. Absence or lack of information leaves the tourists' dissatisfied and prevents them from experiencing the real essence of the tour. This diary study is done in order to identify the problems faced by tourists in addressing their information needs. 20 participants who are tourists have been selected randomly and their experiences are recorded in diaries, which are then analyzed to get a profound understanding about the difficulties associated with addressing tourist information needs.
