Abstract: Today’s technologies have rapidly improved lifestyles constantly. Things that used to be special are phasing out. In the industries of security systems, Closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems were common for surveillance purpose. CCTV require huge data storage place for recording purposes and human supervision is still required for analytical means. The advances in digital technology have made Video Surveillance Systems far more cost-effective, flexible, and simple than to operate CCTV. Video surveillance system basically provides some form video analytics to observe an environment automatically. As soon as an unusual incident occurred, an appropriate signal is automatically transmitted to a predetermined location. Appropriate steps can then be taken immediately. This project is to come up with affordable indoor home-base Video Surveillance System that detects intrusion and capture images. The system need not required huge data storage space. User will be notified through email when there is detection. In addition, user is able to also be able to view the video recorded through the internet to access on the situation.
