Title: | Development of Android application : INR App | Authors: | Pang, Jee Da | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computer applications::Life and medical sciences | Issue Date: | 2012 | Abstract: | This project is about the development of a healthcare mobile application. The application presented in this project will be on updating patients on their International Normalized Ratio (INR) as well as a few other modules which includes patient’s medication requirements, and also upcoming appointments. The purpose behind the development of the INR App is to allow patients on anticoagulant drugs to have more ownership over their medical conditions and reduce reliance on family members. By noting everything down on a mobile device, patients can organise much more conveniently without the need to keep several appointment cards or remember the different dosages of their medication which sometimes can be quite challenging. Through the introduction of this application, it will aim to make young patients well engaged and for elderly patients, their children will be able to be informed of any new changes to their INR on their mobile phones almost immediately as the hospital updates their databases. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/48516 | Schools: | School of Computer Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
