Abstract: A 5.8GHz Balanced Oscillator was designed with the aid of ADS 2001A and the procedure is documented below. The designed oscillator has an output frequency of 5.8GHz. The different stages of the design together with the simulation results of each stage are detailed in the report. An Injection Locked Balanced Oscillator (ILBO) was designed and built using FR4. This board was tested in the lab using a spectrum analyzer and a frequency generator to gather information about the performance of the oscillator.
