Abstract: This project first involves the studying and familiarization of the Zoom™ OMAP35x Development Kit, which is a product-ready hardware and software development platform suitable for embedded applications. An Android Operating System developed for the board is then installed. Applications compatible with Android OS then developed in order to explore the various development techniques for Android based embedded system. A ColorTest application was first developed to examine the color integrity of the LCD screen, since its colors were not displayed properly. A photo editing application, PhotoEditing was then developed that provide basic image processing functions and allows the user to edit the photo. In addition, this application is also able to download images onto the development kit from the Internet for user editing.
