Abstract: HosQuito is a 3D animated short film produced by Han Shengyi. The film is a simple gag based on related personal experiences. For HosQuito, I sought to create a short, light hearted gag with a sprinkle of sadism. This project did not go as originally planned, and in fact, I had to change my expectations more than once before arriving at a finished product. Lofty goals eventually must intersect with the constraints of reality. Keeping all the constraints I had in mind, I decided to keep the film simple and minimalistic. I was originally a part of team Rat Race, however creative differences led me to strike out on my own at the end of the first semester. With less than a semester worth of time, I aimed to achieve maximum productivity for the project. Taking this challenge as an opportunity, I tested my creative, technical and managerial strengths against such time constraints.
