Abstract: In the past decades, there had been numerous studies on the punching shear strength of normal reinforced concrete slabs. However, insufficient studies on high strength concrete have been made. This report presents the analytical study on the punching shear strength near the interior column of reinforced high strength concrete flat slabs without shear reinforcement. The purpose of this report is to analyze and investigate factors that affect the punching shear strength of normal and high strength concrete slabs and the adequacy of building standards such as ACI-318.
