Title: | Two photons pumped up conversion lasing. | Authors: | Chou, Kok Loong. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Science | Issue Date: | 2012 | Abstract: | Low threshold 2ASE and 2PALasing in CdSe/CdS core/shell heterostrucures have been demonstrated for the first time. With the 2PA cross-section σ2 can be controlled by the CdS shell and the PL spectrum controlled by the CdSe core, we demonstrated a 2ASE with a ultralow threshold fluence of ~1.5µJ/cm2. Similarly the relation of the quantum yield η with the threshold fluence has been introduced via the 2PA action cross-section σ2η. With TRPL and pump probe experiment had concluded that the 2ASE process can effectively with non-radiative Auger recombination process. Many different Micro-cavity had been used to realised 2PALasing. Within this project 2PA random lasing with photo-stability had been obtained. Finally plasmonic structures have been investigated and were proven with the present of nano-conductor to generate the surface plasmon, ASE threshold can be significantly reduced. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/49470 | Schools: | School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences | Organisations: | National Univeristy of Singapore | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
