Issue Date: 2012
Abstract: This project pertains to the development of an e-learning tool for web-based learning of the electronic digital circuit designs; Web-Based E-Learning Portal for Integrated Electronics. The development of this Web-Based E-Learning Portal for Integrated Electronics follows the waterfall model, a common and popular model used in most software development process. This model consists of 6 different phases; project initial phase, project design phase, project implementation phase, project integration phase, project testing phase and project improvement phase. As we know, the „E‟ in E-Learning does not stand for electronic; it would be better defined as “Enhanced”, “Everywhere”, “Everyone” and “Easy”. Therefore these four „E‟ features forms the core design philosophy of this Web-Based E-Learning Portal design, with the emphasis on friendly and easy to use user interface (with disability friendly features), the freedom to choose what, when and where the users want to access, as well as engaging the users in an interesting and fun way (through flash videos), which greatly enhances and promotes effective teaching and learning.
