Title: Simulation of tissue response to radiation force
Authors: Ooi, Wen Liang.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering
Issue Date: 2012
Abstract: Tissue response to radiation force is undergoing much research and improvement for its contribution to bioengineering field. Accomplishment is simulating tissue response to radiation force using technology will help to provide better understanding of human tissue and detect lesions on human body so that treatment can be provided. Other potential applications include treatment to cancer and tumors. This report describes the simulation of tissue response to radiation force generated by High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) pulses by using the elastography ultrasound imaging modality. Discussion is made on the finding of the feasibility of the method so that further development and improvement can be made for more advance clinical applications.
