Abstract: Puzzles have long offered significant benefits to young children and adults across the world. It is a form of play to promote one’s mental health and overall positive well-being. The Sudoku puzzles involve logic, memory and concentration. It works extremely well for the elderly to help stimulate their minds and improve their performance in daily tasks. The popular game originated in Japan that has been recognized worldwide. The Sudoku puzzle has gone beyond newspaper and magazines since it’s implemented as a software game for several devices. The mobile gaming industry has been growing at a prompt pace due to the raising usage of the mobile phone. The project involved designing a Sudoku game for a Google Android Platform. The game shall be tested on a new emulator with compatible AVD 'testdroid'. The project aims to accomplish a new method of maximizing the number of puzzles for a given generation space. The project describes the use of the android sdk windows, android 1.5 and the entire code which is written for the standard android platform 1.5 and above.
