Title: Mobile phone app for traffic prediction

Abstract: In this report, objective and motivation of this project will be covered including the benefit of using a traffic prediction tool that comes with mobility. The report will look into the products currently in the market and adopt the plus points of the products to the project. The technologies and tools used will be identified and a review will be done on area like Global Positioning System, SQLite and Android programming. With all the background knowledge of the technologies and tools used, and some market research on existing products, the application is able to compute a reasonable accuracy with just the historical data provided by Land Transport Authority, LTA. The mobile application will be using databases from Google’s API and self-created with historical data from LTA. Then the flow and creating of the mobile application will be mention and quick guide on the how the use the application. Lastly, the report will conclude lesson learnt in this project and identify some pointer that can be improving on in the future.
