Title: Life cycle assessment (LCA) for buildings in Singapore
Authors: Loy, Yoong Shin.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Civil engineering::Structures and design
Issue Date: 2012
Abstract: A detailed LCA study was conducted of a base case building - a two-storey laboratory located on Nanyang Technological University campus, Singapore. The two major focuses of this study were: to establish a tailored LCA model with unique LCI datasets for buildings in Singapore by entailing the material extraction phase, building construction phase, and end-of-life phase of the base case building; to investigate the effect of adopting different construction materials (original reinforced concrete using natural aggregate and Portland cement; reinforced concrete with recycled content such as recycled aggregate and GGBS) in LCA perspective.
