Abstract: Membership cards are distributed to customers in an effort to reward and therefore encourage return of customers. It offers good deals and discounts on customers’ purchases. Membership card is becoming more popular because of its business value, there is more corporation and shopping outlet offering membership card to their customers. This popularity brought up an issue for customer having too many membership cards. Because of having too many membership cards, customer tends to forget which cards are already owned and the privileges attached to it. Another issue is that customer might forget where the card is put in the wallet among many other cards. The aim of my project is to implement an application on Android phone which will capture barcode of the membership card number by handphone camera or allow the phone user to input membership card information manually. The information regarding user membership cards and vendor information such as outlets, contacts, and promotion deals will be stored in a database system which allows Android phone user to access everywhere by WIFI or 3G connection. The application is able to encode the membership cards for the user to flash it at the outlet. Besides, the application also allows the user to edit personal information, membership cards information and locate the store.
