This report will provide people with an insight on how a web-based application (Photonik Enhance) can be optimized to work by exploring new possibilities of applying existing artistic rules into a landscape photograph by considering the depth layering as one of the input. Our project takes a template-based approach. On top of that, HTML5 Canvas, which is programmed using PHP and JavaScript, is part of the main features in the web application. It can help to enhance the overall experience for the users by having more interactivity. Photonik Enhance is basically a web based tool, which can allow user to upload a photograph, draw the depth-based partition on the HTML5 canvas and selects a reference painting whose style would be used as a template. After which, they can save their enhanced photograph if they are satisfied.en_US
