Title: Human motion tracking and data analysis based on inertial sensor
Authors: Gan, Leok Kean
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Control and instrumentation::Control engineering
Issue Date: 2012
Abstract: The project aims to design and develop a human motion tracking and analysis approach for the elderly or patients such as dementia. Human arm kinematic model will be developed. Sensor fusion algorithm also will be used. C# or C++ and Matlab will be used in this project. This project is conducted at Singapore Polytechnic. This project uses qualisys system and inertial measurement unit (IMU) named InterSense Wireless InertialCube3 to capture the object’s motions. Qualisys system uses high speed digital cameras to capture the motion of measurement object with markers attached. Where IMU is a measurement unit that able to simultaneously measures the angular rate of rotation, linear accelerations, and magnetic field components along all three axes.
