Title: A two-tier based DC power supply system in an energy neutral building
Authors: Gian, Joseph Kong Ru.

Issue Date: 2012
Abstract: An energy neutral building aims to limit its power consumption from the utility grid and may even generate its own energy. This is usually achieved through the use of local renewable energy such as wind and solar energy. Hence the wind and solar energy are becoming the focus of the energy research industry. To meet the demand of the energy consumption, a two tier DC power system has been designed. Deterring factors like high initial start up cost and low efficiency exists in these systems. To overcome these problems, this project aims to increase its efficiency, for the purpose of increasing its competitiveness in the energy market.
